SCCP hosts speaker events which expands on the different facets of clinical pharmacy. We collaborate closely with the Northern California College of Clinical Pharmacy (NCCCP) to invite affiliated pharmacists to discuss on various topics in clinical pharmacy.

Dr. Christine Nguyen, PGY1 resident at Palomar Medical Center, Dr. Liann Hoang, PGY1 resident at Kaiser Roseville, Elizabeth Vuong, P3, and Vincent Ho, P3, shared their knowledge on how to prepare for residency and advanced pharmacy practice experiences.
SCCP Psychiatric Clinical Pharmacist Speaker Event (Feat. Dr. Kehoe) – October 26th, 2021
Dr. William Kehoe, emertus professor and past SCCP advisor, shared his career to clinical pharmacist pathway and educated students on cultural barriers mental patients experience in healthcare.
Kaiser Oncology Pharmacist Speaker Event (Feat. Dr. Hsieh) – February 11th, 2021
Dr. Hsieh, the lead oncology pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, CA shared her work experiences with SCCP. Prior to becoming an oncology pharmacist, Dr. Hsieh served as an ambulatory care pharmacist, specializing in various practices such as outpatient anticoagulation and oncology.

This speaker event explored legislation, specifically Assembly Bill 1114. It was an opportunity to become involved in changing legislation through a letter writing campaign.
