Sophia Wong, P2
President (2022-2023)
1st Year Class Liaison (2021-2022)
Hi hi~ My name is Sophia Wong and I will be serving as your 2022-2023 SCCP-Pacific President. Before starting pharmacy school, I was a 2+3 pre-pharm here at the University of the Pacific. I joined SCCP because I was interested in pursuing a career in clinical pharmacy. After serving as a first-year liaison, I was intrigued by all the possible fields within clinical pharmacy and wanted to learn more by being involved. In addition, I joined SCCP to be in a community of scholars seeking to promote dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education. Aside from academics, I like to read and play piano in my free time. I also enjoy spending time with friends, baking, watching anime, and dancing.

Bo Tran, P2
Vice President of Professional Affairs (2022-2023)
1st Year Class Liaison (2021-2022)
Hello! My name is Phi-Nhat Tran, but you may know me simply as Bo! Prior to pharmacy school, I was a 3+3 pre-pharmacy student. I joined SCCP-Pacific because the organization emphasized a strong emphasis on the field of clinical pharmacy, while helping to reinforce and develop new skills collaborating as a team to meet common goals. It is my personal goal to expand the field of clinical pharmacy to my fellow peers as well as provide more insight into what this field of pharmacy really entails. In my free time, I like to explore new music, catching up on shows, and building gundam kits!

Joanne Bamba, P2
Vice President of Membership (2022-2023)
Hi! My name is Joanne Bamba and I am the VP of membership for SCCP. Before coming to UOP, I went to Dominican University of California for my undergrad. I joined SCCP because I was interested in the different avenues of pharmacy, especially clinical pharmacy, and I wanted to learn more about it. I was also impressed by the events and opportunities that this organization offers. In my free time, I like to hangout with my friends & family, catch up on my tv shows, read books (specifically Colleen Hoover books!), and watch sunsets 🙂

Anthony Bao, P2
Vice President of Fundraising (2022-2023)002440
Hello, my name is Anthony Bao! I was a 2+3 Pre-Pharm at UOP before entering pharmacy school. I joined SCCP because I believed SCCP offered an excellent opportunity to not only learn about clinical pharmacy, but also to push ourselves to become better future pharmacists. In my free time, I like listening to kpop and watching YouTube.

Timofey Shimko, P2
Treasurer (2022-2023)
Hi, my name is Tim. I received a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Sac State. I chose SCCP because I am interested in pursuing a career in clinical pharmacy. I hope to learn more about this field, serve and educate those who are interested in it, and make lasting connections with colleagues and fellow members. In my free time, I like to watch foreign films and shows to broaden my understanding and appreciation of the world.

Mya Franco, P2
Secretary (2021-2022)
Hello! My name is Mya Franco. I joined UOP after receiving my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Portland. I initially joined SCCP because I am interested in clinical pharmacy, and I wanted to learn more about the various career options the field offers. SCCP strives to provide students with a broad understanding of clinical pharmacy, and I have learned so much as a member! I enjoy thrifting, watching movies, and spending quality time with my friends and family when I am not studying.

Chiron Tran, P2
Historian/Webmaster (2022-2023)
Heya everyone~! My name is Chiron Tran, but you can call me Kai, Chai, Chee, Shyron, Chevron, or Eric. Like some of the other members of this year’s board, I am another young lad hailing from the University of the Pacific’s 2 + 3 pre-pharm program. My goal is to specialize as a cardiology pharmacist; as such, I joined SCCP in order to learn more about the field of clinical pharmacy and develop the skills I would need to pursue this goal. During my free time, I make meager attempts to catch up on my massive backlog of video games and anime and occasionally make videos about whatever projects I’m working on!
